The selection service is paid once, when you unlock contact details: Basic €35 (3 full profiles), Active search €59 (7) and Professional €108 (15), VAT included, no subscription. Registration and publishing a profile are free and access lasts 30 days. The butler's salary is agreed separately in the contract.
What does a butler earn per month?
For a household requiring dedication and confidentiality, the indicative range in Andalusia is €2,000 to €3,000 gross per month, always above the SMI of €1,221 across 14 payments in 2026. Languages, experience in large households or luxury hospitality and availability while the owners travel all weigh in. The platform fee is not deducted from the salary.
What exactly does a butler do?
Running the household staff, coordinating suppliers, protocol, the wine cellar and supervision of the house while the owners are away. He does not replace the cleaner or the cook: he assigns the work and answers for it being done. Hiring a butler means deciding who runs the house, and that is worth writing down.
How is the contract formalised?
By an employment contract with Social Security registration, often with specific clauses for confidentiality and availability. The domestic-service framework is Royal Decree 1620/2011. Administration of the contract and registration is included in the plan you buy.
Can I hire a butler with no previous experience?
We set no minimum number of years, but a house in Andalusia calls for experience in large households or luxury hospitality, languages and absolute discretion. Each profile states its track record and references confirm it; the 20-question professional test scores from 0 to 100. Without equivalent experience, the natural step is usually an assistant house-manager role.
Which languages does a butler need?
Every profile lists its languages and the catalogue filters by them; we do not require an official certificate. In households with international owners or foreign suppliers, English is asked for on top of Spanish. Check the real level in the interview: it is one of the competences that weighs most in this role.
How do you verify documentation and experience?
We check ID or passport, background and references from previous employers before publishing the profile. Each candidate records a video presentation of up to 2 minutes and takes the 20-question professional test — 10 on experience, 10 on psychological profile. Does the butler live in the house?
A live-in arrangement can be agreed, and in large properties it is common, especially when the owners spend periods away. In that case the household must provide a room, meals and at least 10 hours of uninterrupted night rest. Out-of-hours availability belongs in the contract, not in a verbal agreement.
How long does it take to find a butler?
We give no deadline in days: the catalogue opens when payment is confirmed and new profiles appear after verification. Access lasts 30 days, time to interview several profiles and check references. It is a rarer profile than cleaning or care, so the catalogue deserves a calm review.
What if the butler is not the right fit?
The plan includes several unlocks — 3, 7 or 15 — and you can use them on another profile without paying again. In management roles what usually fails is the split of responsibilities, so fix in writing who decides on purchasing, staff and suppliers from day one. There is no subscription or automatic renewal.
